Our calculator uses the Devine formula, which is widely accepted in the medical community. The formulas are:
- For men: Ideal Body Weight = 50 kg + 2.3 kg for each inch over 5 feet
- For women: Ideal Body Weight = 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg for each inch over 5 feet
